At True North, kids discover that they can trust Jesus in a wild world! True North is filled with awesome Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, and touch! Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings.

Give

Your kids will participate in a hands-on mission project for our local community. Our goal is to help support local schools and organizations in a way that your kids will learn the importance of giving to others.

True North VBS — Trusting Jesus in a wild world Free!

Three nights of adventure for kids age 3 through 5th grade, plus a whole-family closing celebration on Sunday. Science experiments, games, music, snacks, and friendships — all pointing to Jesus.

Hands-on science that brings the Bible story to life in a way kids won't stop talking about.

A themed snack is included each weeknight. No need to feed them dinner first — but we won't judge if you do.

Each night explores a true story of someone who trusted Jesus — and what that looks like for kids today.

Kids are placed in small mixed-age Crews with a dedicated leader all week long.

VBS Sunday — June 21

What happens on Sunday?

The whole family joins us for our regular 10:45 am Sunday service, where your kids take center stage to show off what they learned and celebrated all week. After the service, stick around for a full outdoor party — lunch is on us, inflatables are ready, and the fun keeps going. Invite your neighbors. Bring grandma. Everyone is welcome.

Who can attend

Age 3 – Pre-K — Preschool programming tailored for little ones

Kindergarten – 5th grade — Full elementary program with all the experiments, games, and music

Children do not need to attend all three nights — each night stands on its own

What to know before you come

Is there a cost?

Nope — True North VBS is completely free. Register online and show up ready for adventure.

What should my child wear?

Active, comfortable clothes they can move in — kids will be running, building, experimenting, and having a lot of fun. Closed-toe shoes are a good call. Don't send them in anything you'd be upset about getting a little messy.

Do I stay during the weeknight sessions?

Weeknights (June 17–19) are a drop-off program. Drop your child off at 6:30 pm and pick them up at 8:30 pm. Our team will have everything handled in between. Sunday June 21 is a whole-family event — we'd love for you to stay and worship with us.

What about food?

A themed snack is served each weeknight. On Sunday, lunch is provided for the whole family after the service as part of our closing celebration.

Do we need to be members of Commerce Church?

Not at all. VBS is open to every kid in the community, regardless of church background. If this is your family's first time visiting, we're genuinely glad you're here.

What if my child has allergies or special needs?

Please note any allergies or needs in the registration form and we'll follow up with you directly to make sure your child is set up for a great week.
