A cracked reed and a wick out of oil were things you threw away. God's Servant won't. At the Jordan, Jesus stepped into the water with everyone, and the Spirit came down on him. Then, in his hometown synagogue, he reached for the bruised. Usefulness was never the measure of your worth.
